Many deadbeats bail when the holidays roll around. They are so cheap - they would rather duck out now and beg forgiveness later. Don’t fall for this. Many people are presently experiencing the uncomforting reality of the economic downturn, it’s not the ideal position one would like to find themselves in but it happens. The process of gift giving is an extension of love… there isn’t a written monetary requirement attached to this. Society may have made it seem as though gifts equate money but before advertising became ultra savvy… gifts were handmade. If your mate is running out on you - this isn’t about gifts; this is about Grinch Greedy Boogers masquerading as partners who are so Bah Humbug they would run out on you rather than come out of pocket. Why would you even want them back? They’ll come creeping around for some New Year Nooky then in a few weeks before Valentine’s Day rolls around you’ll be in another stupid fight providing yet another ridiculous reason for them to bail. Why put yourself through the okidoke. Let them go.
