Is That An Appropriate Outfit For Your Young Daughter?
Why do some women bring sexual attention to their young daughters? There are elementary school girls wearing see through tops, tight jeans and heels. There are also mothers who actually purchase thongs, boy cut panties and bikini panties for their middle school daughters. What is the big rush to sexualize these girls? Just because stores sell matching bra and panty sets for little girls does not mean we have to purchase them. These young girls are given sexy clothing then told not to think about sex. This action is disturbing on so many levels and sends out mixed messages to children who are already at hormonal conflicts. You can’t allow your child to guilt you into making improper purchases or allow her whining to dictate your common sense. Don’t be afraid to tell your child the outfit she wants is not age appropriate and she can’t have it. If she becomes upset – so what! They are only girls for 18 years then for the rest of their lives they will forever be women. Why not teach them that good things come to those who wait and mold them into womanhood instead of throwing them into it.

I once saw a 3 year old dressed in a black negligee top! I was so glad that my daycare provider told her mother to take her home and put some appropriate clothes on her! I suppose the bottom line is that these young, confused mother's can not teach what they never learned. It's a cycle of behavior that continues on and on.
ReplyDeleteIt’s amazing how many mothers find nothing wrong with dressing their young daughters like grown women. It’s as if they are totally oblivious to the danger they are placing the child in and I’m not just talking about pedophiles either. What about the boys who are looking at these girls; the boys their age and the boys a couple of years older. I guess they don’t remember how flattering it is to have an eighth grade boy pay attention to a sixth grade girl - an older boy who can easily manipulate a young girl with lies she’s too young to recognize. Before you know it the parent is being summoned to the Principal’s office because the little sixth grade girl with the cool sexy outfits has been caught giving oral to some eighth grader or worse - caught having sex in the bathroom. The irony is the mother of the girl then wants to sue the school or/and have the boy arrested. She never acknowledges the role she played in her daughter’s violation. Our daughters are not dolls – even when my friends and I did play with dolls we didn’t dress them sleazy, we went for high fashion.
